Frequently asked questions
Do my QR codes expire?
No. Every code SimpleQRStudio makes is permanent. The code is self-contained, so it keeps working for as long as the destination does, with nothing to renew and no link that can go dead. Print it, share it, put it on a sign, it will still scan years from now.
Is there a subscription or any fees?
No subscriptions, no per-scan charges, and no paywall on features. You can create as many fully working codes as you like.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. Open the app and start creating right away.
What kinds of QR codes can I make?
Website and text links, WiFi network sharing, contact cards, and calendar events, plus custom styling for any of them.
Can I add my logo or a photo?
Yes. You can place a logo or photo in the center of a code and customize colors, shapes, and backgrounds to match your brand.
How do I save or share a code?
Tap Save to add the code to your Photos, or Share to send it through Messages, Mail, AirDrop, or any other app. Saved designs are also kept in the app so you can come back and edit them later.
My code won't scan, what can I do?
Give the code higher contrast between the pattern and its background, keep a logo or photo from covering too much of the center, and make the code a bit larger. The app shows a "Scannable" check to confirm a code reads correctly before you save it.
Do my designs sync across my devices?
If you are signed in to iCloud, your saved designs sync through your own private iCloud account so they appear on your other devices. This stays within your Apple account.
Is my information private?
Yes. Codes are generated on your device, and the developer does not collect your data. See the Privacy Policy for the full details.
